Laboring in hospital tub q

Am I the only one that didn't want ANYONE near me for a period of time during labor? I was happy, alone in my jetted tub with nice, HOT water. The nurse filled it for me and then just left me alone. I felt a millions times better in the water, with no one breathing down my neck.

Both labors I did not want anything to touch me, esp during a contraction. HANDS OFF! Clothes, too. Don't leave the room, but don't EVER touch me in labor unless you want to lose that hand/finger!

I wore a black sports bra and that's it. I'm a DD, and need all the support I can get, lol. I looooved being in the tub during labor, but I also like being touched during labor. My bff/labor partner sat beside me and would help push/massage the top of my belly during contractions.. It sounds so weird now, but it was the best feeling ever!

I was wearing a hospital gown....just because that is what I was wearing at the time and I just wanted to get in the tub so badly! The nurses left us alone except to check on me every now and then so you could probably wear whatever you want.

Nope, that was totally me. They made me have someone in there, so it was just DH, and he was reading a book, IIRC. I didn't need a doula or even the nurses--DH was good enough for the counterpressure and occasional massage (although I too didn't want to be touched until I really needed it in transition). I want to just do it all at home this time so that I don't have to deal with the well meaning nurse trying to flutter in my face and DH telling her to go away. The MW checked on me every once in awhile, and I had a nurse pretty much assigned just to me because I was going natural, but she spent a lot of time fluttering outside of the bathroom.

I had a sports bra, but I was a G at that point and needed the support, and ended up being glad for it. I think I took it off by the time I delivered DD, but I can't remember.

Nope, I'm the same way. After the nurse and DH left me alone in the tub, I was able to relax so much that Levi was actually born in the tub about 20 minutes later. Just me and him, it was amazing.
