No, not Brenda. We are using Fran B. I absolutely LOVE her. Each appointment I have is 45 minutes to an hour long. I don't feel rushed and she has educated me on numerous things, including how to feel the position of the baby and what limbs are where.

Thank you! I may have some questions as the time approaches.

Yuck. I HATE remodeling. We are in the process of remodeling or bedroom and master bath and the contractor says it "should" be done by the beginning of July! Ummm, it BETTER be!!!!!!

I had a homebirth with Debbie Perry this May. She is absolutely wonderful and will do everything in her power to give you the birth experience you are looking for.

Re: Anyone had a homebirth in/around KC area?

Thanks ladies! We are still in limbo right now. At this point, I am pretty set on a u/c, though dh isn't 100% on board. We have all our supplies, and I talked to the mw we were going to use and she knows our plans as well. I know that if I called her during labor she'd be here, so I'm just going with the flow!

We used Suzanne with our first hb in 2006. She was amazing.

We've gone on to have 2 more at home since then and are expecting our 4th hb in a few weeks. This one, though, will be our 2nd unassisted birth.

Back in May (12 weeks ago on Tuesday, *sniffle*) we had our first daughter at home, and Sarah Wallbaum was our midwife. I can't recommend her enough!!
