How can I get the last bit out of a lotion bottle?

I buy those extra large pump style skin lotion bottles for DH. I just looked in his cupboard and he has 10 bottles in there....and each has about an inch or two of lotion in the bottom....but its not enough for the pump to work anymore. Its too thick a lotion to turn it upside down and get it out.......I would like to pour it all into one bottle and toss the other ones. Anyone know how to get thick lotion out? Can I heat it up somehow I wonder to make it runnier temporarily?

What about cut the containers apart and scoop it all into a tupperware container and he can scoop it out with his fingers?

I've added a tiny bit of water before. Just enough so that I can shake it up. Then I leave the bottle upside down so that I can unscrew the lid and get it out that way. Cutting the bottle apart, might work better though. I think I'll try that next time.

Yeah, I use scissors, cut the bottle in half, and use a rubber scrapper to get it out and put it all in one bottle. Its kind of messy, but it works!

I am wondering now, if I put a hole in the bottom, then turned it upside down, would that allow the air to pass through enough to move the lotion through......?

I would put the bottles in a bucket of warm water. Hopefully the lotion will flow if it's a little warmer.

I usually cut mine open, hadn't thought of the rubber scraper idea though, that's a good one!

A spatula would totally work too!
