Re: Can I request a meeting with mods?

I hope this is okay to ask here (); it seems like this thread is a open forum to ask these sorts of things.

Why doesn't this board allow you to mention other mothering/diapering boards? I understand bashing this board and saying "come over here" is ridiculous, but people are going to be part of other communities, so what is the big deal if they say so? I am glad I can go to Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Wild Oats. I get different things from each of them and wouldn't want to do without one of them.

If your board is solid, people will stay. Period. I have never really understood this rule and while I'm not trying to change policy, I would love to understand the reason behind it.

I hope this message is received with the understanding of my intent and tone.

Mama, I do get what you are asking.Thank you for stating things so politely. Intent and tone aren't an issue at all in your post

I honestly can't answer you on this since this rule was in place when I joined and isn't something I was involved with. (or at least I can't remember a time it wasn't already in place kwim?) It's also not something I have had an issue with or a member ask about before.

The current team may need to visit this topic and see if it should continue to apply. I honestly can't say when it was put in place or what the reasoning behind it was or is. It could have been put in place by women who worked here years ago or it could be something put in place by the site owner.

I'll get us both an answer though. I do know it says to pm Juan or Lee for clarification so I am :-)

They are saved copies of pm's sent on an issue or in most cases, your welcome to WAHMwares etc.

It's kind of like a folder attached to your profile. It's one of the things that only the team can see. Ya'll get the nifty ignore feature though that we don't have
