"Prepping" Sunbaby Pockets

Hi All!
So I have read that Sunbaby pockets need to be sort of stripped when you first get them new. What have you done with your Sunbaby pockets when you wash them the first time?
Also, if you would recommend stripping with Dawn, does it have to be Dawn or can it be any kitchen soap, like AJax?

Thanks!!!

I didn't do anything special, just a regular diaper wash. Rinse, wash, rinse no troubles here...

Re: "Prepping" Sunbaby Pockets

Just wash them. but a bunch of times, like 5 times. I threw them in with regular diaper washes after their first wash. They smell like machine oil or something... Weird. From production I'm sure. Once they smell like my other diapers (like nothing!!!) I added them to the stash.

PP: yes I wash on hot/cold cycle on my LG frontloader. The only thing hotter would be sanitary cycle which is 70 degrees celsius.

I washed them 4 times on hot to prep, but don't know if it was necessary. I only used detergent in the first or last wash (can't remember as they were one of my first buys)

Thanks! It sounds like I will just need to see how they smell/feel, but I will just wash them several times when they arrive.
