Re: Amber teething necklace

I take DS's off when he sleeps, in the car and when Daddy wears his pea coat. We went out to dinner last weekend, and DH wore his navy pea coat that he loooooves. DS was sitting on his lap while I ate, and when DH went to pass DS back to me while he ate, the necklace caught on the jumbo button on his coat! (Yes, my DH is the guy who doesn't take his coat off while he eats)

Re: Amber teething necklace

DS has slept in his with no problems whatsoever. It's made to break under a certain amount of pull, so it cannot strangle a child. Each bead is tied on so that if it were to break, it would not cause a choking hazard.

It's up to the parent, of course. But what good is it if they aren't wearing it? I bought it to be used instead of meds, if he doesn't wear it at night, he'd need meds. KWIM?

Most people who I've talked to let their DC sleep in it as well.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.

Did you give it a few days when you first got it to be comfortable enough to let him wear it to bed? Or did you just do it from the beginning?

Tharen wears his 24/7. Of course we also co-sleep so it never really worried me much. I never took it off unless he was going to be sleeping alone. But since he has been boycotting naps unless I hold him since he was 6 months old I haven't taken it off in a long time.

Re: Amber teething necklace

I know SugarandSpiceKidz (I *think* that's how it's spelled) on Ebay sells them, and so does Wondrous Gems:

I make them too, but am out of stock right now except for the one left on Etsy (in my siggy).
