advice about transaction

OK, recently did a trade with someone and didn't go well. I missed a few tiny holes in a the shirt I sent. I offered to send her some pp to cover it, but she said no worries. I got the diaper from the trade and the PUL is delaminated, it is a RaR. Now the person in the trade wants to know what I want to do. I really think we should just ship our stuff back. What do you think? She wants me to contact the company, but I am the the 3rd owner of the dipe, so know NOTHING about it, when it was purchased, where, etc.

I totally agree...that would be the right thing to do and the pul should have been checked before it left her hands.

Is it worth the money to both of you to ship products back? It seems like you both sent faulty products and neither are really worth anything more than ffs anyway. I would just cut my loss and not spend the money on return shipping.

Well, she got a brand new item in the trade also. If we were just talking about the shirt it would be totally different.

I would think shipping each others stuff back would be the best way to go! Or maybe work out a value for the new item that was recieved and both just keep the faulty items and PP for the new item?

From my experience with RaR, the diaper is useless now. They will not warranty the diaper unless you are the first owner, and can take a picture of the delaminated diaper NEXT TO THE RECEIPT FROM YOUR RETAILER. No joke. Plus you need to send in a copy of the original receipt. They don't warranty diapers bought secondhand, even if their product is faulty.

I'd probably treat the damaged items as FFS and ask for some money for whatever else you traded her.

Well, the mama isn't very happy and seems to think the company will just replace it no problem. I asked a few questions and will contact the company and see, but I highly doubt they will do anything.

Sadly, she's mistaken. I can forward the email I was sent by RaR with their forms if you like, so you can forward them on and show her. PM me your email if you'd like them.

I have also heard that RaR's customer service isn't that great. They rarely ever replace their products. If she got a new item in the trade, I would ask her to send PayPal for that item and each of you keep the faulty items.
