Pooped THROUGH it? Or out a leg hole or waistband??

This is my favorite tutorial for washing and lanolizing wool covers.

How did that happen? I'm assuming there was a diaper underneath, right?

Okay, I was scared for a minute. I don't think anything can handle those epic poops! I'd wash our like the link posted. As for the epic poo, I have no advice. My babies only pooped once a week and they were hardly ever epic.

Re: help asap

Wool keeps the outside dry when the diaper is wet. It's not meant to contain poo though any better than anything else woven. The diaper is supposed to contain that. However... as you've seen that doesn't always happen!

Rinse under cold-lukewarm water and try to get as much of it out as you can. Then, under that running water, rub the pooped-on spot(s) with a wool wash bar or castile or olive oil soap. I guess if I didn't have that, I'd probably use a drop of dishsoap. If it was a large area affected or if I used dishsoap, wash (soak) and lanolize.

This is why I bought a wool wash kit, including a bar, from Alioop. I have a newborn and sometimes they have epic poopsplosions hehe.

Yes, as the PP stated, wool is not any better at containing poop than other covers if it's a really big poop.. They excel at containing moisture, wetness. Fitteds are the main gatekeeper for poop. Even they sometimes can't handle that amount and power in one lol.

Re: help asap

I use the wool wash bars but If I 'm out I have used dishsoap before. I also use the wool wash cycle on my washing machine.
