Re: Thinking about Flats?

i only have a few flats and bought them of FSOT - but i'm loving them so far! we air dry everything and those are good to go so quickly! they're perfect pad-folded in a Flip cover.

i haven't done any interesting folds yet, but I'll need to start learning them for the newbie!

Oh - and to solve poopy problems we use fleece liners. makes cleanup a LOT easier!

GMD cloth-eez. I love them. They are bigger than the rest out there and so soft. They trifold perfectly in a fully unsnapped flip. They are great for the origami too.

yes, this!

It seems like I find new folds/uses for my flats every so often when I feel creative and pull them out to mess with them. I just found the padfold love with my covers.

Re: Thinking about Flats?

We use exclusively flats at this point because we're on limited truck-delivered water, and have a high-efficiency washing machine. Those two factors put together mean that we need reeeeeeeally easy diapers to wash. We use a combination of receiving blankets and LL flats. I'm also probably going to add a dozen GMD or Osocozy flats at some point because I've heard good things and we need to add some more diapers to the rotation to reduce the number of washings per week (see: limited water).

Honestly, a few really well-loved receiving blanket flats are our favorites. Flannel goes through a nasty pilly stage and then... like magic... they're just the softest, most absorbant things ever. Takes a while to get to that stage, though.

I have GMD and Osocozy. I like the GMD ones a bit better! They're almost the same, though!
