Wow there are some seriously talented mamas on here who can knit some fabulous things! I'm a self taught knitter and can do lots of different things but I hope to one day do some work like this....I didn't even know such elaborate pics on the longies could be possible. How is it done....is it duplicate stitch or intricate colorwork or both?

Most of mine are duplicate stitching.

I am self taught as well

Mine are all free hand embroidery, the only duplicate stitching was the birthday girl giraffes. I have an extensive art background and find doing the embroidery is a great medium to showcase my art .
