Re: Nourishing Traditions Support Thread
Hi all, thought I'd jump in here as we are a Traditional Foods family too - I haven't been on DiaperSwappers for years, and there wasn't much TF info here then so I'm happy to see this thread!
I haven't had time to read the whole thread but I thought I'd mention that Azure Standard has the best prices I've found on organics & other things we use. No shipping charges either, so if you are in one of the western states where they have routes, it's an excellent resource for getting organics and bulk groceries. I've been ordering from them for two years. I know that if I had to pay the higher prices at other online or local stores, I wouldn't be able to do as much organic stuff as I am now. |

Re: Nourishing Traditions Support Thread
A blog I follow just posted this Groupon of the Day deal-it's for a nut/candy store and it's $10 for $25 worth of product, and they do have some organic items
![]() Here's the Groupon site (I am NOT getting any referral credit for this-I just copied and pasted the link from the blog I found it on ![]() http://www.groupon.com/deals/nutty-g...utm_source=rvs and here's the site it's for http://nuttyguys.com/ I think I'm going to go ahead and do it, and get some of their organic apricots and flax seed ![]() Last edited by myfrugalfunlife; 03-08-2011 at 11:26 AM. |

Re: Nourishing Traditions Support Thread
I watched Food Inc. and The Future of Food yesterday, then made DH watch it when he got home, then told another mom at our church group about it last night. Its crazy! I am totally in with you guys. We had already been starting to get more organics when we could afford it, but we had still not given up the sodas and a few snack foods. We are on a severely tight budget right now, but we are supposed to be getting some new renters April 1st, so that should get us back on track again. I looked at Azure Standard, but I dont get the whole "drop" thing. I SO wish we could do a regular Co-op on here for them. If there isnt a "drop" point anywhere near me, and I want to purchase less than $550 worth, I just cant order at all, or what?

Re: Nourishing Traditions Support Thread
I had referral credit saved up from a while back so I was able to get two of them for free-otherwise I'm right with ya! I bought running shoes and socks last week, and now I'm not spending any extra money in a long time! Ok, I am going to get some of those kefir grains pp offered, but then that's it lol!
