This is the same for me, if I stretch I get them, but if I bring my feet back flat they go away.

Re: Leg Cramps??

no pointing the toes made it worse for me! I would make my foot flat and flex back towards my knee, just like doing a calf stretch. It also helped me to stretch my calves before I went to bed, but by the middle of my pregnancy I could wake up with a cramp, stretch my foot back, and go back to sleep without ever really waking up!

Re: Leg Cramps??

I took a potassium supplement. It worked miracles. I didn't have any after I started taking it. Prior to taking it I had them every night. It was during the 2nd trimester that I started it, but I can't remember exactly when.

Re: Leg Cramps??

I'm getting them too now almost nightly when I stretch in my sleep. My grandparents swear by a shot of tonic water at bedtime. Apparently the quinine helps? Or calcium/magnesium.

This was the only thing that worked for me. I still take cal/mag supplements for my restless legs at night.

Re: Leg Cramps??

I know this probably sounds weird but a lady at my church told me to rub vinegar on mine and it actually worked. I hope you find something that will work. Those things are the pits when pregnant!
