I feel like this baby is head up.

I was at the OB on Tuesday and she said that baby was head down. But as I was up at 4 in the morning with this baby moving around. I feel like it is now head up. But I don't know how it should feel. It is now very high right in my ribs. My next appt. is on the 24th so I guess I will have to have her tell me where the baby is and what part is where. You would think that this is our 3rd baby I should know how to tell. But I don't.

spinning babies site will help you to identify which parts you're feeling and how that matches up to the baby. It can be tricky to tell, though. You want to feel hard, movable bulge at your pelvis. If you feel a bulge but when you try to move it, it feels like the whole baby moves- that's the butt.

Re: I feel like this baby is head up.

the reason I asked the above question is because a baby can turn very late in pregnancy to head down again even if it is head up now, some even during labor. I'm sure you probably knew that since this is your 3rd baby.
I had a similar experience with my oldest. she was head up the entire pregnancy until she turned herself at 34 weeks to head down.

32 weeks is still a little early to worry about it, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to try some inversions every day or to see a chiropractor to see if you can get everything in the best possible alignment.

32 is still pretty early, and as long as you don't feel engaged there should be ample time for flips.

Spinning babies is still a pretty cool site!

Re: I feel like this baby is head up.

My baby likes to wedge it's bum under my ribs and I totally thought that was the head at first. The way my midwife explained it, if you wiggle the head side to side the baby's body will stay put, but if you wiggle the bum then the whole back will move also. I'm not that good at identifying the parts myself, fortunately the kiddo is staying head down here and just flipping left to right.

32 weeks is still early though, my baby was still transverse (sideways) at that point I believe.
