Re: # of diapers you have compared to # you use.
Mine have a time and place for everything.
My ODD has 5 Daisy Doodles and 1 Roo that is not being used. She's mostly PL and my YDD hasn't grown into them yet. But I LOVE them, so they are not used. Then she has like 6 diapers we rotate for nap time diapers and 4 for nighttime. YDD, now she has a varied stash. We have about 30 fitteds. And at home and out and about, we use those. But I have 6 active pockets (8 are on loan to a friend), and 10 AIOs. She only goes to church in an AIO or pocket and only wears one there. We are at church for various activities 3 mornings a week. So I NEED at least 9 diaper to go the entire week for church alone. So despite the crazy number I have, I'd say we do use most all of it.

Re: # of diapers you have compared to # you use.
we rotate our prefolds fairly evenly. our fitteds only get used about 1/4 of the time because the people who watch my babe during the day prefer to use prefolds over fitteds. we have 3 dozen dipes and do diaper laundry every 2 or 3 days.

Re: # of diapers you have compared to # you use.
the other day i figured i'll soon have about 100 diapers and am not currently using any of them.
it's not nearly as bad as it sounds though. once everything i've ordered or plan to make is ready i'll have about 36 nb dipes (and i expect i'll be using all of them if this one goes as frequently as my last two), 30 smalls (which will probably all get used), 20 mediums (leftover from dd2 who used them all regularly until she potty trained), and an additional dozen or so assorted prefolds (which don't get used much as diapers but have been used frequently as for spitup, putting under bums on the changing table, etc.). as the baby-to-be outgrows things i'll be selling and/or giving them away, and i'm sure i'll be down to a reasonable number again someday. my last baby outgrew newborns and smalls so quickly last time that i felt i needed to have enough diapers in nb, sm, and medium before baby came this time around, hence the millions of diapers even though no one wears them right now.

Re: # of diapers you have compared to # you use.
I pretty much use all my dipes, except I have my couple of least favs in my diaper bag, so they get used less. And then my prefolds are usually for when I have not done the laundry quick enough or when we're away then I have them to help last longer

Re: # of diapers you have compared to # you use.
i use everything i have, but i dont wash everyday.
I have 12 sustainable babyish flats per child. I have about 12 fitteds per child. I have about 6 pocket diapers per child. So about 30 diapers per child. also an extra 12 fitteds that are one size. I wash every 3rd day. We also do 2 hours of naked time after bathtime. with newborn ill pobably have to wash daily.

Re: # of diapers you have compared to # you use.
Right now I have:
18 PUL GADs 4 fleece GADs (night time dipes) 3 dozen Thirsties prefolds 8 KHW bamboo velour prefolds And yes, they all get used. Well, I could probably get by with only 18 prefolds but I will be honest and admit to hording them since they aren't made anymore and I love them so much. When I know that I won't have any more kids, I will part with them. That may be 20 years from now. ![]() After two days, we usually have 2 or 3 clean GADs left. I am grabbing pockets more than anything else right now. When its cold enough for longies, I will be grabbing pfs again.

Re: # of diapers you have compared to # you use.
I rotate through pretty much everything. If I don't use it, I sell it. I was holding onto things for a while, then realized that was pointless. Other than my newborn/small stash, I mean. But we use AIOs, pockets, some fitteds, wool, PFs, and PUL covers. I pull everything out when I put away clean diapers so that I can stock back to front.
