REALLY irritated...

Okay, I know there's not much I can do about this, but I need to vent. And since it's FSOT related, I figure this is the place. I was browsing through a section on FSOT, and ran across something that looked VERY familiar to me (something I had sold about 8 months ago). I thought at first "hmm, that's weird, I had never seen any others just like those." The mama was asking a LOT more than I sold them for, so I kind of brushed it off, thinking, eh, they must be a newer version.

So...I did a little checking, and I sold this item to this particular mama. So it IS the same ones. And, I sold them for $10. In her listing, she says she is asking "$35, exactly what she paid for them). I even double checked the old PMs and my Paypal to be sure that's what I had sold them for. I can see that some people mark up items, but 3x the buying price?? For something that's on it's 3rd owner?? Ugh...it just makes me really mad. Okay, thanks for letting me vent.

Re: REALLY irritated...

I'd post in the thread it isn't exactly what you paid for them, you paid $xx.xx for them xx months ago! LOL. But, I can be "mean" like that.

Aye, maybe PM her first before posting in her thread. Quite possible she's misremembering what she paid, or confusing it with a simultaneous transaction. I don't know that I would feel good about posting to her thread though that is a ridiculous markup.

well...I don't recommend that since it's against the T&Cs, as tempting as it is

But, sadly, it's hers now and if someone is willing to pay $35 for it, then that is their problem. I completely agree that it's totally shady and hopefully karma will take over and she'll have to keep reducing the price to the $10 mark. FSOT is pretty slow right now unless you sell it dirt cheap

Re: REALLY irritated...

Whenever I sell something I originally bought off FSOT, I am always concerned I'm going to charge more than what I paid for it. If I don't use it, then I sell it for exactly what I paid for it if I can remember (and I eat the shipping costs). Sometimes though I do forget. Of course, 10 to 35 is a HUGE jump, so chances are she didn't forget and she's trying to make some $$$ which is awful. FSOT isn't to MAKE money IMO, it's to help other mamas out, and to recycle what we are no longer using....unless of course you are a WHAM.

If it were me, and I were selling the item for more than what I paid, I would welcome a PM to let me know about the issue....but most people probably wouldn't be too happy

So sorry mama

Re: REALLY irritated...

may be she bought it new and now had two of the same and really paid $35??

New or not, I would never pay full retail on FSOT.

Re: REALLY irritated...

Sorry it irrates you but honestly once you sell it to her she is free to do what she wants with it....even if she listed it for 200 dollars that is her choice since it is now her property.
