"So what makes cloth the best choice?"

I actually got that question, a real, true, HONEST TO GOODNESS question, from my son's girlfriend, while she was watching me change a CD on youngest DD. Would you believe I was, for a moment, speechless?

My brain was thinking, hey, can't you SEE how cute these things are? But then, reality set in as I realized that I might actually be talking to the possible future mother of my grandchildren ... I knew I had to get this "right". So what did I say to this 24-year-old who I know to be frugal, a trendsetter, anticonformist?

"I never run out."

That was the best my brain came up with.

Ok, so maybe being around us and seeing the cuteness factor, the health of the girls' skin, and the fact that it's just not any "grosser" than changing and dealing with sposies, MAYBE it'll win her over.

I might need to rehearse the answers to these kinds of questions ...

True. I think from now on I might just say I CD because I don't like doing the same things everybody else does. That seems to go over GREAT with some folks!

I think it's easier to casually say a few but not beat it into people in case you come across almighty!

I like to say, because sposies sit in a landfill for 500 years are full of bad stuff and cloth works out less expensive overall.

Nice that she had a good question.

Ha! I've gotten a few questions about our choice to CD, and I am the same way! I usually just shrug my shoulders and say "why not?"... maybe you can convert her eventually! Haha
