Newbie to wool with dumb questions

The wool bug has bitten since it appears that my LO is having problems with PUL/fleece at night. BUT, I am a little confused...

1. We live in Florida and it's already AC season - meaning it's getting hot and will only get hotter! How hot is too hot for wearing wool when out and about? Any difference between knit and interlock as far as holding in heat?

2. At night, do you put PJ's over your wool? Or does the wool serve as PJ bottoms?

Thanks for your help!!

As long as you're using soakers or shorties it's not going to be too hot. We always used the wool as jammies BUT if you're using it at night you need to make sure it's a good solid thick 2 layers at the least. I used a snap cover for this purpose, you can also get a wool 'doubler' to put in the cover like you would do with a diaper doubler.

I personally feel that GENERALLY speaking knit is 'lighter' but there are some thinner lighter interlocks out there as well.

For referance we're in texas so I do know heat when you say heat lol. MY ds's have never been too hot in it

Another one who lives where it is hot ( Las Vegas) and we use wool all summer. I like using a soaker and just a tank top. I prefer interlock best-I find it easier to clean esp since my kids always played outside in their wool.
