Spinning babies questions
Have you tried it? Did it work? Did it take a long time to work? When did you start?
I'll be 21w Tuesday and baby girl was breech at the ultrasound two weeks ago. Judging by all the movement I feel she still is, the kicks are all on the bladder or towards the cervix. They also said my placenta is anterior and I couldn't really decipher what this means on the site but it has it's own section!

My babe was breach at 21 weeks too and my ob wasn't worried at all as babies can move so much, and still have a lot of time left to move. I saw my perinatal doc at 25weeks and she was up, so she had already moved.
Was it something they seemed worried about? If not, I personally wouldn't either just yet.

I'm just over paranoid that this will give them a reason to say no to vbac. I had a hard enough time getting them to agree to vbac is the first place.

Re: Spinning babies questions
Most babies are breech at 20w. They still have a lot of room to twist around. I wouldn't worry about it for at least a couple more months.

Re: Spinning babies questions
Ditto everyone else. Normal to be breech and normal to stay breech with additional pregnancies. I started doing spinning babies and the webster technique at 33/34w with #2 and he was heads down by my 37w appt. Good luck.

Re: Spinning babies questions
Mine is still breech at 36 weeks. We have tried everything and nothing has worked. I have an ultrasound Wednesday to confirm he is still breech and on the April 6th we are attempting a breech version.

Re: Spinning babies questions
Yep, as PPs have said, breech at 21 wks is normal. I think I read somewhere that like 80% are still breech at 30 wks. Heck, one of mine was BORN breech, lol.
But, I really wouldn't be concerned for a while; you are barely half way through your pregnancy.

Re: Spinning babies questions
20 weeks there is no concern... I'm 35 weeks and baby is still breech (Mind you has been since 17 weeks)
I go tomorrow to see a specialist about whether he is willing to do a version...

Re: Spinning babies questions
Have you seen a chiropractor who knows the Webster technique? This is one of the most likely treatments to work to help your baby to turn. I took the Spinning Babies class, and if the suggested exercises aren't helping, there's probably an internal reason why your baby is still breech. A chiropractor may be able to help realign your pelvis and connecting muscles/ligaments to encourage the baby to turn. The baby is only in the position that seems the best for it based on his/her environment, so to help the baby to turn you need to change that environment.
