I hate to say it, but I'm giving up on...

Rockin Green. I liked it fine in my old school top loader. I was washing bamboo fitteds every 3 days. Now I'm using prefolds and flats, and they aren't coming clean, even with FIVE tbs in my HE washer! (started with one and kept working my way up, but they still come out smelly)

I just went to take the diapers out of the dryer, and they smelled like poo.

I'm switching back to Country Save. I wish Tide made a F&C powder for HE washers...

Sorry mama. We are Tide Free & Gentle powder here but I have a TL. I hope the CS fixes your issues.

Re: I hate to say it, but I'm giving up on...

I started out with Country Save, tried probably 10 different ones in between just because, and am back to Country Save. I honestly didn't know what ammonia stink was until I tried Rockin Green. and it took quite awhile to get rid of it. I stripped with RLR, plenty of HOT water, and probably a load with a decent amount of bleach then more HOT water.

I hated rockin Green. My diapers smelled so bad. I use regular Tide and if the diapers are super soiled I use Oxyclean with an extra rinse. Works great. I am waiting the bac-out to go on sale on drugstore.com. hear it works great!!!!

No, because I don't want to compromise the warranty on my washer. It's new, we've only had it for a few months.

HE detergents are not a gimmick, he should do his research. They produce less suds.

Re: I hate to say it, but I'm giving up on...

I use regular old Tide powder with my FL (only about 1-2 T) and it works just fine. I've got a friend who never did switch to HE detergent when she got her FL and she used to laugh at me spending all my money on HE detergent when regular powder does the same job for a lot less cash. No odor issues here either...

I can't get it to work for us, either.
