Sorry OP, but really?

By the way my brother died at 15 in a car accident: no seatbelt!

Re: Car seat laws? What is your opinion.

I'm calling it...TROLL.

Might as well share my story? I rear-ended a van at about 30mph maybe...1/4 mile from my house. I was still on my road for petes sake! In it were the mother, 2 kiddos and a teeny tiny baby. All were in perfect condition because of proper restraints..oh and I am ok too This was almost 10 years ago too..dang im getting old. I also know that my parents know multiple people who died in accidents when they were younger. I personally don't know any bc I'm not THAT old yet lol Anyway..this thread is hilarious and ridiculous all in one. OP might as well just give up..or start talking about something else random...

Re: Car seat laws? What is your opinion.

I don't get how you can post a question like this and then tell people you don't want to hear about what you're doing wrong, their opinions on your parenting. Or lack thereof.

This isn't a parenting matter, its a legal matter, like it or not. The laws are in place specifically because of people like you. I hope you get pulled over and have to pay fines or something, ugh. And I agree, if ALL of your kids have such issues in the car, it sounds like theres more parenting issues than just this. Maybe you should take a class...I have 5 kids, ranging from 13 months to almost 11, and my kids are far from perfect. They can be downright bratty at times (of course I don't tell THEM that, lol). But, they all know that we have rules and they will follow them, end of story. When it comes to the car, carseats are non-negotiable. I will not touch the ignition until everyone is buckled IN THEIR CARSEATS.

This isn't an option. It isn't a parenting issue. Its what has to be done. So do it.

Laws are made to protect something. In this case, people.

I don't think she's a troll, just looking through her posts...but that makes it worse I could be wrong though.

Now I understand the reason it's a law.

Just sayin'...

Gabe will go days without a bath... unless you count a mudbath. But he NEVER goes without a car seat. If he's in the car, he's in the carseat, even if we're just moving the car.

IMO, as much as I want to see more limited government, we have laws to protect those who are too weak to protect themselves.

In this case, we apparently need to protect children whose parents are too ignorant of the laws of physics to understand why car seats are necessary to keep children safe.

I don't see car seat safety as parenting. Parenting is the way that you choose to rear your child. Car seats have nothing to do with that; they have to do with keeping children safe, in an otherwise unsafe situation.
Yep.

Car seats allow you to make parenting choices. Without car seats, if you're in a crash, the only choice you will be making is which casket to buy.
And yep.
