Re: Yeast Questions...tried almost everything...
Yeast rashes thrive on moisture. Sposies do a better job of keeping the area dry. When she was in cloth, the rash would always get worse. We were in sposies for a few weeks until the rash completely cleared. I would also sprinkle the probiotics on the rash about every change. When I went back to the cloth I bleached the diapers once so that she wouldn't get reinfected. I know bleach isn't the best for the life of the diapers, but I didn't have anything else to disinfect them and I thought one time wouldn't hurt much.

Re: Yeast Questions...tried almost everything...
i didn't read all the replies, so sorry if this is repeat advise.
a friend of mine's dd has had the same problem, she is 1.5yo and has been giving her baby acidolpholus twice a day and also sprinkling it in her dipe area when it gets bad...also load up on yogurt (like many pp suggested) i've been getting lots of yeast infections this pregnancy and after a 7 day monistat treatment i've just been taking acidophulus twice a day and it's gone...for the first time in a long pregnancy! wash those dipes in hot with gse or just tackle it with bleach...you need to kill those yeasties!

Re: Yeast Questions...tried almost everything...
Take GSE internally! If you are breastfeeding, he'll get it through your milk. If not, you can dilute it and put it in his food/drink. GSE is super alkaline, and no infection can live in a more alkaline body. Keep taking it a few weeks after the rash is gone to keep it away. I've seen it work wonders for any kind of infection, especially yeast overgrowth.

Re: Yeast Questions...tried almost everything...
Thank you!!! I have him in FB (we are going to switch to only fitteds and wool after DH was amazed at how great his bottom looked in the morning during our yeast fiasco!) just to make sure his skin is completely dry...I am keeping my fingers crossed and assuming he still has some yeast so I am still washing his dipes with a little bleach and GSE!
