Nettle Tea

Just wondering if anyone has tried nettle tea for seasonal allergies? DH and I both suffer from hay fever and I'm wondering if this works? I hate to take antihistamines every single day until September...

I saw it on the Dr Oz show and was wondering

Re: Nettle Tea

I think it's worth a try. I drink aveda's comforting tea daily to deal with digestion issues from my cancer surgeries. I do believe in the healing properties of teas and I am always trying new ones.

One thing that has worked wonders for my allergies is a neti pot. They're weird and people always look at me crazy when I tell them I use one, but it works! My husband has hay fever too and it helps him manage his symptoms too. Its worth a try!

I bought some Nettle Tea and will give it a try tomorrow. I hope it tastes ok.

We have a Nettie pot but I'm really weirded out by the thought of using it... Maybe I'll just have to suck it up and give it a try I'll wait for day when the allergies are really bad and nothing else is working though!

Re: Nettle Tea

Using local honey really helped DHs allergies! (in tea or whatever)

It is weird but worth it. I was worried it would be like when you're swimming but you accidentally get a ton of water up your nose-it isn't. As long as its warm and the salt isn't iodized it actually feels pretty good, very weird I know! Good luck and hope the tea helps!

My friend Star swears by Nettle Infusions for lots of problems. I would definitely try it.
