No problem! I do think they've become a little bit more absorbent with washing, but not a ton more.

I use the target flats pad folded in flips and weehuggers and it works very well on my 19 month old. I change every 2 hours or so when my son is in prefolds/flats and have no complaints about absorbency. (Plus it's a super trim combo!)

Re: Flour sack towels Vs Birdseye flats

I have 3 LLs and 15 Walmart flour sacks. The flour sacks are thinner, lighter, and less absorbent, but they are absorbent enough and I like them. Plus they're cheaper and easy to get. Most have shrunk to about 26-27x26-27 ...very close to square, which I also like. LL are rectangles.

Re: Flour sack towels Vs Birdseye flats

I will chime in here, I have both birdseye and flour sack I like both. Birdseye is more absorbent but when we are coverless I change for one pee anyways so the absorbency isn't much of an issue. I think they are great for the $$ and accessibility. I think I might actually pick up one more set of flour sacks to round out my stash since my little man is moving up.

Re: Flour sack towels Vs Birdseye flats

I have to say that we have both and the flour sack towels don't even get used anymore. They are just entirely too thin. You could probably double them up, but that seems silly. We love our swaddlebees flats and there is just such a difference between the two.

I just bought some of the RE floursacks from Target last night. I don't have any "real" flats, but am looking forward to trying these!
