another question for women whose dh's have had a vasectomy
my dh is having his vasectomy on monday and his doctor's website mentions no heavy lifting (above 20lbs i think) for a week, and talks about an ice pack and to take pain meds...
i was just wondering how out of commission your SO's were after their vasectomy... we have 2.5 month old twins at home and a 2 y.o. dd and no friends/family in the area so i'm hoping that he shouldn't be too bad lol ugh ... my dh is all like oh no maybe i wont be able to feed the twins or change their diapers (come on they barely weigh 12lbs lol) .. our 2 y.o i can understand... men... lol Advertisement |

LOL!! My DH went right on like nothing was wrong...until the next day! I think if he takes it easy for the night he will be fine...feeding a baby can be done from a sitting position with a bag of frozen pees between his legs

It might take a couple days, but he will be sore and swollen and need time to recover. Changing diapers is fine, but not if he has to crouch or bend or lift. Try to set things up to be easier for him to help after the procedure.
