How long is your commute one way?

Right now, it's 5 minutes for me.

I'm being considered for a position that would be 25 minutes one way.

That's seems like a lot to me right now, but I think I would REALLY like the position.

So just wanting to here what others do and how well it works for you

Thanks, mamas!

About half an hour one way, depending on traffic. Sometimes it takes me almost an hour to get home. It's a 30 mile drive.

I have an interview on Monday for a job 10 minutes away from me, and I'm considering it. It stinks to lose so much time away from home.

Re: How long is your commute one way?

45 minutes one way...not sure about the miles though. It is all freeway driving and because of the hours I work 5.30am to 2 pm I don't have any traffic. If I left at 5pm it would probably take me between an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half. I dont mind my drive, I actually kind of like the unwind time and I like to drive, but if I had different hours then it wouldn't last long at all.

Mine is about 25 minutes too. I think every job I've had is about this amount, I don't think its too far.

I'm getting tired of my commute because DH drives about an hour to get to work. Our monthly gas allowance is crazy and I am tired of filling up every few days between our 2 cars.

I drive half an hour each way. The only time it seems long is on Friday afternoons and when I'm leaving before a vacation day!

We live about 10 blocks from my office and about the same from DH's job.

It takes us about 20 minites every day to take DS to daycare and then drop me off at work before DH goes to his office.

Only takes so long as daycare is on the other side of town from our house.

It takes me about 40 minutes to get to work. It takes an hour to get home because I pick up DD from preschool on the way. It feels like a lot of driving and time to me. Many people I work with have far longer commutes though.

Mine is about 13 miles away. Takes about 20 minutes. Mostly of my route is on the freeway and I'm going against traffic so I don't mind.

Re: How long is your commute one way?

50-60 minutes there (because of drop off), 45-50 home. 34 miles. Still getting used to it-it just doubled last year when my office moved.
