I need more FC!

I have had it up to here with toilet paper!!! I have a small stash of FC but not nearly enough. I've got mostly those cheapy baby wash cloths from BRU, and about a dozen Small Wonders Wipes. I actually prefer the BRU wash cloths because I find the single layer of material makes it easier to have a good hold on it. What I'd really really like though, would be some single ply bamboo terry cloths, preferably dyed. Anyone know of anywhere I can find that? Or something similar?

OK, I guess I'm being very specific. Would anyone care to share where you got your fave FC?

Qbit - I'd love to know the answer to this too! It would be great to hear about everyone's FAVORITE FAMILY CLOTH (and why it's their favorite!). Here's hoping you get some good replies! :-)

Don't need anything fancy, just something that won't fall apart and that isn't made in China.

Re: I need more FC!

2 ply flannel is dirt cheap and serves the purpose well. bamboo velour tend to not show any staining, cotton upcycled tshirts work great too.

then there are other fibers organic cotton, organic hemp, hemp velour is lovely and durable.

We use all the above noted...my preference is cotton or bamboo velour for the potty. We have been fc'ing since 2005 long and strong. I introduced it as part of my business in 2009 and find people enter into the idea mostly out of curiosity and get hooked.

Re: I need more FC!

I mostly made my own. Two ply flannel. They are actually my favorites but we also have upcycled t-shirts, old wash rags. I will use just about anything 100% cotton. But my preference would be organic cotton.

Re: I need more FC!

Domino Pads on Hyena Cart has great options for family cloth. 4x6 size wipes (hemp or bamboo fleece, shrink to about 3x5). Also her website http://www.dominopads.com/store.php?crn=207

I also have made my own from a flannel receiving blanket. Single ply is my preference. I just cut mine out and stitched around the outer edge to prevent fraying too much and they work just fine. I recommend 50+ unless you wash every other day. I wash once a week so I like to have more on hand.

I was just thinking this the other day when I was putting laundry away!! We aren't using the blankets anymore and thought about making them into FC!! Good to know it works!
