Coming off hormonal BC

Well I'd been on the pill for about a year, and about 6 months ago switched to an extended BC. It is not working out and I'm constantly spotting especially after DTD.
So after talking to my Dr we decided the best bet was just to come off BC and let my body regulate. So if I'm just starting NFP what should I do? Temp? Do you use opk's? Any advice would be great

I'm not sure why I didn't think of this before but also, I work overnights(I work in the NICU so it's 5 shifts/2weeks) can you still temp? Would I temp when I woke up no matter when that was?

I did temps when coming off HBC-it was so accurate i could easily tell when I conceived on that first cycle-2 weeks after stopping HBC

A digital basal thermometer, but some women don't get noticeable temp shifts with a digital and have to use a glass one.

I use the free version of fertility friend. All you need is to be able to pinpoint your temp shift.
