Re: Dad babywearing

DH came home and I showed him how to do the Beco and he said he would try it! Yay!!!! DS is in bed already, but just getting the okay is good. And the Beco seems so easy, I think as long as dh stands still, I could get them all situated and all he'd have to do is carry ds. YAY!!!!!!!! Just the freedom that this will allow is awesome! Strollers can be such a pain, but if I wanted to babywear, I had to commit to carrying B all day long and it just wasn't doable.

Yes, DH does. He wore a Moby when the babies were smaller and now an Ergo or the Gemini. One time he even wore both babies into a store (an Ergo on the front & back). I have pics of him wearing a baby in the Moby, but nothing more recent.

No, he will not babywear. I have tried an Ergo, Pikkolo, Beco, woven wrap, ring sling, babyhawk MT, O&A, and several others. He says babywearing is for girls

Re: Dad babywearing

DH hasn't flat out rejected doing so, but then again, I haven't pressed the issue.

We have a Baby KTan and a RS.

IMO, I think he thinks it's not manly. Or he would rather juggle trying to hold DS than "fuss" with putting one on. Or he'd rather sit in the recliner with DS because he can't multitask.

You might be interested to see and show your DH this link! babywearing dads

my DH is on there, wearing DS in the Ergo. He wouldn't use the RS, and he won't wear him now that he's a toddler. I'm betting he'll wear the newbie in the Ergo too, once the newbie is old enough. It's just more practical in certain instances.

My husband loves to wear the baby. He likes being close to him & it's much easier to grocery shop, window shop, go for walks, etc. than pushing a stroller or hauling the car seat out. All we have is a black mei tai I got for $15 on ebay, but eventually will get others. I want to try ringslings as well, but don't have the spare $ just to buy something if it doesn't work for us.

1) Yes
2) MT (custom DCMT)
He will wrap if I wrap DS onto him , but predominantly he's a MT kind of Papa
He's tried buckles, and doesn't like them (neither does DS) so it's MTs for DH and WWs and RSs for me

DH loved the moby when DS was littler. Now he likes the ergo. Never was a fan of the ring sling for whatever reason.
