WTH happened to my MEOs?!?!

Bought some MEO's from a mama here, examined them, they looked good. Very faint staining, but nothing that I was concerned about.

Put them through the wash - they came out a little threadbare, VERY stained (inserts AND diapers)!

What in the world happened?

HMMM in the 7 years I have been buying and using cloth that has never happened to me except one time. My mom soaked some prefolds in a bleach and water solution (like 50/50 bleach water ) The were fine till the second wash and they were nothing but string in the dryer. I don't know about the stains that is strange, maybe it was different light? Never heard of that

Well, I checked them in the kitchen, dryer is in the laundry room in the basement... But these were OBVIOUS stains...so stained that if I'd seen them in the first place, I never would have bought the diapers. So weird!

I did soak them (along with all of my other dirty diapers) in Borax/cold after a vinegar rinse. My other MEOs weren't affected. Only the ones I bought in the lot were. Difference in detergents, maybe? I'll have to find out what the mama used in her laundry.

I have had staining surface on diapers when I strip them..never have had them get get thinner though

Oh I totally forgot about this! I had some pf's that did that when I stripped in the DW I jsut restripped and they were pretty stain free. Maybe boil them?
