**New Question** Why can't I print a parcel post label!?!

I've tried through paypal and through the usps site. Did something change? I'm really irritated that it looks like I will have to take this huge box in to the PO.

ETA: Can you ship parcel post through ebay? If not my selling days may be over!

USPS just changed the name from Parcel Post to Standard Post, not sure if you knew that... But I haven't been able to print shipping labels on PayPal since Friday either, so I think they must be having some kind of problem. I had to take my things in person today - so much less handy! Good luck!

I am pretty sure they discontinued parcel post. It's first class or priority only.

Standard Mail (the new parcel post) is not an option for online postage. It needs to be brought in. Inconvenient for sure.

It is coming back though who knows when. Here is an email I got from paypal about it:

As of January 27, USPS will implement changes to some of their rates and services. PayPal's shipping tools will be updated to reflect these changes. Anyone using USPS to ship should review the changes. For details on the new rate changes, go to USPS at https://www.usps.com/new-prices.htm.

Please review the list of service changes below:

Parcel post will no longer be offered. PayPal customers who attempt to select Parcel Post may experience an error message for a few days until the service is removed.
A new service called “Parcel Select Nonpresort” will replace Parcel Post. This service will be available to PayPal customers within a few months.
Express Mail Service – A signature will now be required when a customer buys additional insurance.
First Class Mail International (FCMI) Package will be replaced by “First Class Package International Service (FCPIS). Shipments to Canada will have free Delivery Confirmation with this service.
Priority Mail – Shipments to Canada using the Flat Rate Envelope or Small Flat Rate Box will have free Delivery Confirmation.
Express Mail International – The default level of insurance included will increase from $100 to $200.

Yes this. It's not even available online through USPS click and ship I hope Paypal can add the regional rate boxes when they add standard mail... Oh, and update to add the padded flat rate envelopes.

You can ship through USPS and pay with pp. A few extra step but beats going to the po.

Something to check on - when a package is heavy, I have found fedex or UPS to be cheaper. Last time I had a large package, USPS wanted $28 to ship it, and I used fedex for $13. It was free to set up a fedex account with a credit card. The only inconvenience is you have to drop the package off somewhere with a pickup - but perhaps your workplace has a pickup or you pass a fedex or ups store on the way to work?
