Re: How long did you swaddle?

We swaddled until DD was 11 months. It worked great to get her to sleep, then she would break out of it and roll over.

Re: How long did you swaddle?

We swaddled DS3 until 8 months old and I wish that I had done more with my older two since it worked so well to keep him settled. With the older two, we only swaddled for the first couple of months until they could wiggle arms out of a blanket. With DS3, we got a SwaddleMe wrap and we loved it. We also got him some Woombies, but he really liked the tighter swaddles better. We did use the Woombie more toward the end to get him used to moving a bit more without waking himself up. The main reason that we stopped swaddling was that he started rolling over even in the swaddle and figured it was safer without. If we end up with a fourth, we'll definitely swaddle for as long as possible. None of my boys have been thumb suckers, but in the Woombie, he did chew on the front of it under his chin when he woke up and tried getting his hands out.
