Any ideas for getting a 4 yr old to drink Citro-Mag?

I've been dealing with severe constipation issues with my almost 4 year old for months now. After x-ray number three, which is still showing a back up of stool we have been advised to use Citro-Mag. (not sure if that is the shelf name in the States?? It is an anhydrous magnesium citrate oral solution) A couple of weeks ago I managed to get her to take two-thirds of the recommended dosage by pleading with her. She then had a fit and fell asleep on the couch so I never got all the recommended dosage of water in her. She then had a couple of movements so I was hoping it had still worked. She then seemed to be having daily movement for a week (although they were on the small side) Now she has stopped again despite the daily dosages of Lax-a-Day. So the ped doesn't think we got it all......I need to get another dose of the Citro-mag in her. I've been trying for two days now. The pharmacist recommended mixing it with 7up but she took one sip and said it tasted funny and dug her heals in. (not that she has had 7up before)

Any ideas?

Soda typically works best but its still pretty salty and the taste of soda can be offputting if she has never had it before.

Do you think it has to be clear soda? I know I can get her to drink diet coke......she has been known to sneak mine

I wonder if jiuce would be better?
My daughter has to take something like this and we mix it in OJ
