I sent a diaper that never arrived, am I responsible for reimbursing?

I sent a couple of diapers a month ago to a mama. I had went down in price on the sale and so I didn't get a tracking # to save $$. They haven't arrived yet. I have the receipt that I sent it out showing her zip code. She opened a paypal dispute claim and I'm wondering, is it my responsibility to reimburse those charges even though I can prove I sent the diapers out?
I definately want to do the right thing and I wouldn't even hesitate to just reimburse her except I'm so tight on $$ right now, I'll actually overdraw just reimbursing her.

The crummy thing is that without a delivery confirmation number, you can't prove if she got them or not, so I think they will say you are responsible. She could have gotten them, she could have not, but there is no way to prove it either way.

I had my hubby ship off a package once, as well as drop a few more that I had labels for at the PO. He didn't get a DC number and of course that momma claimed it never arrived. I honestly don't believe her, and I'm sure that when she saw the lack of DC she took advantage of me. =/
I had no choice but to refund her.

Yes, because you didn't get DC, you would be responsible. It really stinks, but that's why DC is required for all transactions here.

Problem with not getting DC to save you money now you have lost the entire sale. Its possible you are being taken advantage of but if you print your labels through paypal DC is only $.19c.

Now you are out everything.. bummer!

Agree that DC is required for transactions here, it's part of the DS rules. I haven't sold anything for a while but if it's still the same as before, it's only 19 cents or something to add DC if you buy your postage and print the shipping label out through paypal. Just thought I'd mention it for next time.
