bummis prefolds vs gmd organic vs imagines organic

Hello,

I've only tried gmd organic prefolds (currently in reds). I like that they're very soft but the organic reds turned out smaller than anticipated. I've been thinking about trying others like bummis or organic imagines. Can someone whose used these please compare organic gmd prefolds vs. imagines Organic vs bummis (organic larger baby size)? I need to be able to snappi the prefold comfortably. Any comparison pics would be great! Also, any info about bummis super whisper wraps would be helpful. Are they gentle on the thighs? Trim or bulky? TIA!

I love bummis prefolds. My son is 2, and 28lbs. I can't snappi the reds anymore, but they're prefect for trifolding in medium covers. The Bummis ones are great for using a snappi/pins with though. perfect fit. I'm upset by their recent price hike. Its nearly $5 for one of their prefolds now. =/ I asked on their facebook page if they were stitched with unicorn hair now....they didn't find it too amusing.

And BSWW covers are the only pul cover I use. I think they're very gentle on the thighs, but maybe a little bulky? Honestly, I think it depends on whats inside the cover that makes it bulky. If you put a flat under one, it won't be so bulky, but if you put a huge prefold, it will be. Ya know? We use the medium size, and I doubt we will ever need a large. He'll probably (hopefully!) potty learn out of this size (SOON, right?!)

I like my Bummis baby size, super trim snappied (when my wiggly guy lets me) with a Flip cover. SWW's are nice, but I don't love them, a bit too stiff. They are are workhorse cover for sure. I haven't used the other brands of pf's but the Imagines are priced right and the sizes look pretty cool.

And to the pp: 'Unicorn hair' LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven' tried the GMDs but between Bummis & Imagines...I LOVE my Imagines! Mine got alot more quilty looking and the extra width is great for snappis. I use the yellow edge on my 23lb/29inch 10mth old with lots of room to grow!

Talia01,

How do imagines compare against Bummis as far as softness/pilling? Are u able to snappi the baby size Bummis or are the too narrow? TIA!

both are pretty soft and never noticed any pilling on either.....I wasn't a fan of the extra length of the Bummis and found my medium imagines easier to snappi, better fit, there is no extra fabric that needs to be folded down. I got rid of my baby size bummis pretty quickly (really prefer shorter & wider pfs) but when I did have them he was about 18lbs so I was able to snappi.

Anyone have an older toddler who still wears Bummis baby size prefolds snappied? For reference my DD is 15 mos and 21 lbs.
