Diaper Swappers

gahhhh I had it all figured out how to CD away from home for a couple weeks.. but I was going to be at one place the entire time and would leave my house with all clean diapers and would return home with all clean diapers.. This weekend I'm going just a 5 hour drive away from my home Sat&Sun but I don't have a LARGE zippered wetbag.. I only use pail liners that don't close.. so driving with a HUGE bag of stinky diapers doesn't sound like my cup of tea..

I was thinking I could dump some of the diapers in the shower before we leave and rinse them out so they wouldn't be REALLY smelly during the drive home..??

any other awesome ideas?

Buy a can large enough for your diapers/wetbag, with a lid on it. That will at least help hold the smell in better I would think!

I'm guessing you have some wetbags med or small I say bring them all and put what you can in them then use the pail liner for what you can't hold and cinch it closed with a clothes pin

I just did this for 3 days when we went to visit family for Easter. I forgot my bag

so I rinsed the diapers out when I changed them and put them in a bucket MIL had. When it was time to leave, I just double bagged in garbage bags and tossed them in the washer as soon as I got home.

I just got a medium pail from home depot with a snap on lid, watertight and stink tight!

Do you have a medium zippered wetbag? I'd use that for poopy diapers and just put the pee diapers in a plastic bag and before you leave put everything in a garbage bag, tie it and put it in the trunk while you drive.

pre-wash them in the shower with some Dr. Bronners soap

I do have a few zippered wet bags then I have a wet bag that has a cord too.. I was thinking of bringing clean diapers in one of my liners that is purple then using all the zippered wet bags I have (each with some EO on a washcloth stuffed inside) and then I'll bring a pail liner that I can twist as well as possible closed.

OH AND NO TRUNK!! mini van!
