Anyone going to do an early gender u/s?

There's a 3d ultrasound place near me that does early gender u/s from 14 weeks on. I went there with my last pregnancy and they were awesome! And they were right LOL.. Anyone planning to do one? Crazy to think that means as early as May 24th I could know if the baby is a boy or girl. Weirdness.

Oh, and with my last baby I had an u/s at 10 weeks. The doctor said she was pretty sure it was a girl at that appointment. I forget why she said she thought that though. She said at that point, don't take it as a definite, b/c it was too early, but from the looks of things it was a girl. She was right then too.

Not me...I'm too cheap! LOL. It would be fun but i would rather wait until later because I feel like then i am getting the US for a medical reason.. and the gender is just for fun! Plus they will be able to say more for certain at a later stage.

Re: Anyone going to do an early gender u/s?

This brings up an interesting thing.... First, in answer, I probably won't 'cause I'm too cheap. Saving my money for a doula, or for a later 4d when the baby's face is defined more, love those. But I would LOVE to know sooner. Love Love Love.

Here's the interesting thing, my recent u/s I was 10 weeks and there was definitely a SOMETHING between the legs, but my tech said that both boys AND girls have that something until further along! That it "sticks out" until later. Isn't that bizarre? My brain is saying boy since we saw it though.

The clitoris is a "rudimentary penis". In women, it enlarges and becomes erect with stimulation, just like the male sex organ. The similarity of the structures makes them pretty much indistinguishable early on.

I am not sure if I'll have an U/S any earlier than 18 wks. That's only 7 wks away. I MIGHT be able to wait that long .

I'm going to do an early u/s...I get too anxious to wait. I know it costs money, but in the end it saves money because I can go ahead and find deals on things.

Ok, I have a question. I notice there is a little red "thumbs down" by my previous post. How did it get there? Does that mean someone reported my post, or the censorship software flagged it because I named the male organ and used the word s*x?
