Re: Anyone going to do an early gender u/s?

I'm also too cheap lol. Plus I want as few ultrasounds as possible, so we're gonna wait for just the one around 20 weeks, but argh that's a bad wait .. almost as bad as the last few weeks

Re: Anyone going to do an early gender u/s?

It's pretty routine for OBs here to do a quick ultrasound at every appointment. I've had two so far. One at 6wks and one at 12wks. His u/s machine has a 3D mode on it so he'll switch it over to 3D and let us watch our little one dance around for a few seconds. I'm sure he'll be able to tell us the sex at 16wks, but we may wait to announce it just in case it's inaccurate since we're doing a "gender reveal party."

Nope, I'm too cheap as well! Also, I think we are team green this time anyways.

Re: Anyone going to do an early gender u/s?

I am having an NT scan tomorrow and will be 12wk 6days. So I guess it is possible but we will have to see if the tech gives me any ideas. I'll have to remember about the 45 and 90 degree info Otherwise my doc will have me schedule it for 20wks and we will find out then.

Here's the interesting thing, my recent u/s I was 10 weeks and there was definitely a SOMETHING between the legs, but my tech said that both boys AND girls have that something until further along! That it "sticks out" until later. Isn't that bizarre? My brain is saying boy since we saw it though.
Yep, they all have a "nub" that disappears by week 14-15 if baby is a girl This site explains it, very interesting!

Re: Anyone going to do an early gender u/s?

I'm not having an early U/S just to find out the gender, but the OB found something just a little bit "off" in my dating U/S so I get to have another one later this week. It will still be too early to tell but if everything does not look perfect, my OB will want another U/S in 2 weeks. I'm hoping everything looks good of course but If I end up with an early U/S telling me the gender that would be nice too.

We are going in tomorrow, 14 weeks. I have had the exact day in mind since before we got our +. We are sooo impatient when it comes to finding out!

Re: Anyone going to do an early gender u/s?

Made an appointment for tomorrow! I'm only 14w4d so i'm really hoping we get a good clear visual of the gender. I'm pretty nervous about it tho... wish me luck!
