anybody know anything about tingling in the hands?

My hands have been getting that tingling feeling like when your hands or feet fall asleep. This has never happened before. I tried to google it and it seems to have something to do with water retention. Anybody familiar with this? My feet have been swelling a bit. Anything I can do about that? Never had either issue before.

Sounds pretty normal. This happens to me a lot, and has with each pregnancy. I always just figured poor circulation was another lovely side effect of pregnancy. If you're worried of course talk with your doc.

Be sure you're staying plenty hydrated and if the swelling in your feet persists, take some time to sit down and put them up. Mine are mildly swollen at night. It's normal and not really much else you can do about it, well besides give birth

Sounds right, PP. Mine do that from swelling, and I think because I work at a computer all day so those nerves are a little pinched anyway. Talk to you doc about it if you are very concerned or it is really bothersome! He/she may be able to tell you if it is anything to worry about!

I've had it fairly bad in past pregnancies towards the end and just a tiny bit off and on this time. For me it is much worse if I over use my hands, like typing or knitting, or sometimes if I sleep on it wrong. Mine goes away after pregnancy.

Re: anybody know anything about tingling in the hands?

I had full on carpal tunnel with the first pregnancy, cause by excessive swelling. Nothing helped. This time around, especially the past few weeks, I'm experiencing what you are, discomfort, minor swelling and tingling. I find if I drink a lot of water, it lessens the tingling and I feel less swollen. I hope this helps you too. Man, I can't wait to be done with this!

Re: anybody know anything about tingling in the hands?

well I am online just like anyone else but my job does not include lots of typing or tedious hand work so I don't know what the deal is. I am trying to push fluids though (and going pee every 10 minutes). pregnancy is just very weird. I don't believe people when they say that they had basically no symptoms or funky issues. How is that possible???
