Re: Discouraged...what if lo is allergic to pul, seudecloth and being wet?

Yep fleece wraps can be used like a PUL cover and so can nylon. Use them until they get dirty or smell. The Bummis original have a mesh inner that can some people say can get smelly faster sometimes so it might need to be washed more often than PUL but it still shouldn't be more than a regular diaper laundry thing.

I usually have to wash my fleece wraps after a day's worth of use. sometimes my Bummis Original wraps can go two days if I alternate.

Is the bummis original the only one that is nylon? They are only available in white. That's fine, but it's not as fun.

Fitteds are a category I haven't even tried to read up on at all, so I'm completely lost there. Would that be like putting 2 diapers on?

I dont think TPU covers will help if she has a PUL sensitivity. They both have little to no breathability and function the same. I had to switch to almost all wool, fleece and Nikky waterproof cotton and breathable poly last summer, because my PUL and TPU covers and pockets were giving DS a major rash. He doesnt need stay dry, though. There is a mom on here that uses almost all self-made fleece pockets with staydry micro-fleece inners. Maybe she will chime in

ETA, and I highly recommend Nikky/Niji breathable poly covers. They really let the skin breathe and I have never had wicking or leaks.

Thank goodness you said that! I was really considering just spending the money on the grovia aios to make it easier! I would have been so upset if she had broke out from those too! Does she sell them or just make them for her lo? That's interesting. I did have someone contact me via pm about wool all in ones on etsy... are those any good? I'm an all in kind of girl and don't want to have to use different options for different times of day, see where my lo gets her high maintenance tendencies lol, so I'm hoping I can find something that works both for day and night... I have no problem adding extra absorbancy, I just would like to use the same diaper option for both.

I'd try nylon covers, wool wraps, fleece wraps, with a cotton diaper and fleece or silk liner on top

Here is her WHAM thead: http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/....php?t=1085337
I have a fleece/microfleece pocket I made myself, and I am quite fond of it. Oh, and on another note, Mother-ease makes a staydry fitted OS fitted that is a sort of sports material (different from suede/microfleece), and I think thirsties makes a staydry fitted, but I have no idea if that is suedecloth or microfleece..

I'm guessing the fleece pull-ons like emotibums need something else under them right? Is there where the fitted comes in? Fitteds are not waterproof at all right? I'm going to go look up motherease and thirsties now.
