![]() OP -- I do think your DD would benefit from a combo of stay-dry inners and breathable covers. There are many options for covers that breathe: fleece, wool, breathable cotton Nikky wraps. Good luck!

Re: Discouraged...what if lo is allergic to pul, seudecloth and being wet?
Thanks soooo much for all the tips so far! When I started this post a few hours ago, I felt bad b/c the girls are sleeping in disposables right now. Now I feel confident enough to find a solution!

Re: Discouraged...what if lo is allergic to pul, seudecloth and being wet?
Nikky covers are awesome too but they are a wee bit, ok a lot more than a nylon cover. But they are awesome for soft breathability. We always got a weird red mark every time we padfolded in them so I traded mine but they are super trim, super gentle on the thighs, and they are also Very leak proof! I never had a leak in mine.

Re: Discouraged...what if lo is allergic to pul, seudecloth and being wet?
Something to keep in mind is that if you LO is getting a rash from the fabric on the OUTSIDE of the diaper, then it is the polyester not the PUL that could be bothering her. The PUL is "polyurethane laminate" so it is the shiny plastic film layer on the inside of the cover. The outside is just 100% polyester. But then again, suede cloth and fleece are both 100% polyester too.
What does the rash look like? I think your best bet might be to give cotton diapers like prefolds a try. I would let her go coverless and change as soon as she is wet while putting her in sposies at night with lots of Desitin to keep her really dry. Try this for a few days/a week and see how it goes. If this helps, then it might be that she just can't handle being wet at all and the lack a breathability of PUL diapers causes moisture (even the tiniest amount from just being a little sweaty) and this irritates her sensitive skin. Hope you can get it figured out!

Re: Discouraged...what if lo is allergic to pul, seudecloth and being wet?
My son don't have rash but he sweat a lot wearing PUL cover. He's doing ok with wool and fleece but those are very bulky, he only wearing them around the house with just a t-shirt, no pants. The only covers that he doesn't sweat is Nikky or Niji. I have the 100%cotton one. One thing that I don't like about these cover is the velcro sometime rubbing my son thigh, but that also an easy fit if you have a snap pliers. I added a couple snaps to it like the ImseVimse cover does and it fit the problem.

Re: Discouraged...what if lo is allergic to pul, seudecloth and being wet?
Are you sure she is actually allergic to the suedecloth and it isn't a food allergy? My daughter's food allergy shows up as excema and extreme rashes in the diaper area. We initially considered an allergy to the fabric in her diaper too. A trip to the allergist showed a milk and egg allergy and the rash went away completely after we realized that.
I'm not sure if that has been mentioned in the 5 pages, so forgive me if it has

Re: Discouraged...what if lo is allergic to pul, seudecloth and being wet?
And I thought I had it bad with miranda having a fleece sensitivity and jake having a mircosuede issue.
I'm sticking with cottons for this one. not taking any chances.lol My only suggestion would be fleece covers/wool with all natural fitteds/prefolds.. Then changing often. Very often for the wetness issue.
