You encourage them to nurse and are so thankful they are in your 1st trimester with your next child because it's the only time they will let toy lay down and rest!

Your toddler says "milk all gone, in mine mouth, nother side now" and opens her mouth and sticks out her tongue to show you that it is in fact all gone and she DOES require more.

Your toddler still has to feel your arm/face/other breast with her foot while nursing. She sucked her toes in the womb i'm sure and has always used her feet like hands. Sometimes she even has to 'rest her feet' in my elbows while nursing and get mad when i try to move my arm

....when his butt is up in your face and his feet are in your lap and still latched on.

.....getting out of the shower brings light to his eyes and he says "MUP MUP"

.....when he figured out how to sign milk and is very proud of himself when he signs it

You ask your toddler if he is ready for nigh-night and nursing and you are answered with a big resounding "YES!!!" And then when he is waiting to latch on he laughs with excitement, and says "yummy!" Then once he is done with one side he launches himself over to the other side while saying "side!"

Once he climbed up on my lap, lifted up my shirt and said, "oh, wow!"

Oh, and you know you are nursing a toddler when they can do the most crazy gymnastic moves on you while staying latched on! The best so far is him trying to nurse on my left side (we are lying in bed) while he is trying lie on his left side too, facing away from me! Uh, I don't really stretch that far!

When trying to convince me to nurse her, my daughter holds the conversation for both of us-

Asta- "Mommy, can I have a little bit of milkers?"

Asta in my voice- "YES, Asta!"

Asta- "Okay! This side? Or this side?"

It's cute when she does that, but I'm soooo tired of nursing her. She's 3 years and 4 months. She was almost completely weaned, and then baby brother came along....ack...oh, well, it was worth it. She has a terrible diet otherwise!

When I'm getting in or out of the shower, she says "How count the boobs? One! Two! Two boobs!"

...when he jumps on the bed while nursing.

...when he offers the other boob to another family member so he doesn't have to eat alone.

...when you are suddenly nursing firetrucks and teddy bears in addition to your child.

Some of these are so my DS

I suddenly have cars, Buzz Lightyear or other random toys, being held at my breast while DS makes lip smacking noises to make sure I know they are eating.

Also when you are out and suddenly you have little hands pulling down your shirt, while screaming "boobies!".
