Diaper Swappers

Ok so I sold a lot of dipes last week (not here) and have since had tons of communication with the mom. Shes not new to cding but before she did do exclusively prefolds so these were pockets and I have basically walked her through everything. She got the dipes yesterday and today she asks me "what did you wash them in because my son has a horrible rash". After going back and forth (I used Charlies and Oxiclean) I find out that she has been battling rashes with her DS for months now. I tell her to strip the dipes (or bleach if he can tolerate) and go from there but my question is.........

When you buy something fsot do you wash it before you put it on your LOs???

Yes. Always. Normally with bleach & in a "stripping" routine anyway.

I even wash/strip hand me downs from folks I know, bc we have such sensitive skin.

Uh..yeah. I mean as much as I love and adore all of you, you just never "really" know what has been done with someone elses dipes. KWIM??

I would was any clothes that I bought used and they don't go on babies most sensitive parts.

I think it is very kind of you to go our of your way to be so helpful though. Maybe with your expertise and advice the rash will clear up and you will have helped a baby be so much better for it

Of course. Like PP, I strip it with bleach.

I strip FSOT diapers before putting them on my little one (unless they were unused diapers).

total newbie here lol! how are you stripping with bleach? I have bought some used diapers and would like to try it

i just throw them in the wash with the other diapers, but i run an extra hot wash on the whole load.
