How often do you & DH make love?

They say that disagreements about the frequency of making love is one of the top reasons for getting divorced. DH and I were having a conversation about what is "normal". He thinks having it once a week is not normal. That most other couples have it more. So I am curious what is the normal frequency?

Sidenote, DS is only 4 1/2 months and still nursing

Also how do you get the time with kids? Any hints....

It's 2+ times a week now... but I imagine it'll drop like a rock as this pregnancy gets rolling....

I really wasnt wanting any while I EBF. now its once a week and he aint complaining. Before january 2007 it was september 24, 2005...long story

I FINALLY got my sex drive back (DD is 8 months old). But before that, we were having sex maybe twice a month. Not because we werent interested, but more because of sleep deprivation, not enough time and the fact that DD was a poor sleeper at night.

We do it 1-2 a week now. DH works out of town M-F, so that's probably why the lower number. If he were home, I think 3-4 times a week would be a more reasonable estimate.

we are only home together on the weekends, cause we pretty much work opposite shifts. We see each other for a few hours in the afternoon, but the kids are always around. We usually wait until they are all in bed....but usually by then I am exhausted too. We usually have 2+ times on any given weekend.

Pregnancy + a toddler + both working full time + only one day a week off together = not much of the sex......

Maybe once they're in college me and my boyfriend will be able to fool around more often.

Right now, with 4 kids, 3 of whom are UNDER 3 twice a month is normal. We are also having less sex because I would simply die if I got pregnant.

Under more "normal" circumstance I would enjoy 2+ times a week. With a baby the age of yours, I think he's lucky to get it once a week

You have a 4.5 month old! He should be grateful for each and every time!

Just tell him it will get better. I think you should do a new poll and ask "How often did you and DH make love when you had a 4.5 month old?" I think the answers would be different.

If it were up to DH, it would be a few times a day. Now we cant at all since he left for Iraq, but.... since when he is here its up to me, we only do a few times a month. He isnt home much cause the darn military is working him sooo hard and when he is home, Im exhausted from taking care of the boys all day and I just want to sleep. I think when he gets back it will be more like a few times a week since he says its one reason he isnt as close ( sexually )to me any more since I wont " give it up" for him
ETA: I meant that he isnt close to me as he was sexually, he knows not to even ask and he only gets it if I initiate it. I had to clear that up so I didnt hear n e more responses from my post

Ironcially enough, I'm the one who wants more! My boyfriend only is interested in a few times a month. Plus our times of interest are totally different. He always wants to get things going when our twins (9 months) are awake and crying or we are about to walk out the door. I am more in to it when the girls are asleep but that is the time that he wants to play video games. For awhile, it was only like once every 6 or 7 weeks!!!!!!
