How can you tell?
How can you tell if baby is mad at a slow flow or if he's just wanting to comfort nurse and mad that milk is coming? DS gets frustrated (more in the evening so I'm assuming it's a slower flow he's mad about) but during some of those times it sounds like he's swallowing and I will see milk in his mouth. I can also do a breast compression and milk will squeeze out, so I can't tell which it is for him. I also feel more empty and floppy by the end of the day. I know that's normal and he's having plenty of wet/poopy dipes and gaining well so I know he's getting plenty. I nurse on demand about every 2-3 hours sometimes less. I also co-sleep and he goes about every 2 hours.
Should I take a supplement like fenugreek or mothers milk plus to help with the evening empty feeling? How can I tell what he's mad about?

Well when my newbie just wants to comfort nurse and I get a strong let down, he either pulls off or lets milk dribble out the side of his mouth rather than swallowing. But I find a lot of babies are just fussy in the evening, it may have nothing to do with your milk. I wouldn't take a supplement if baby is growing and seems content after feeding most of the time.
