Littlest Nipples

For folks who are breastfeeding but want the option of sometimes bottle feeding, what nipples have the slowest flow?

Re: Littlest Nipples

I do love the title of this, but I don't have an answer

I am interested in knowing though because we've started to give Sophie bottles occasionally, and we were just using the bottle that came with the pump which definitely has too much flow... half the milk gets on Sophie's outfit. We have Dr Browns which I was going to try next. Not sure if these are small flow though ?

i use the tommee tippee ones for the girls and they seem to do great. they have a stage one i believe for newborns with a slow flow nipple on it.

We used the dr browns preemie nipples with my older DD, it was the only ones she wouldnt choke on the milk flow. Again we have the preemie nipples but they make DD's latch all wonky so we havent been using them.

We've been searching for the perfect bottle so far we ruled out mam, thinkbaby, avent, tommee tippe, ventair, and playtex. She will take evenflo and dr browns but the small nipple makes her latch weird.

So we are trying the nuk and breastflow now.

Re: Littlest Nipples

I've been playing around with DD's bottles while cleaning them, and Avents are really slow and tommee tippees are extremely fast. Dr browns stage 1 are about the same as the avents.

Dr. Browns does preemies--you can buy them at BRU. My DD is doing ok with level 1s though. She gets bottles about once a week or so.

Glad I could cause some chuckles!

I have the Pura stainless steel bottles, so will need a wide-mouth nipple. I don't think the Dr. Brown's preemie ones are wide mouth, are they?
