1st ultrasound

I went for blood work friday. The nurse called today and said the hormone levels were increasing nicely and they would like to see me tomorrow for an ultrasound. I'm 30, had an uneventful 1st pregnancy and no ultrasound with that baby until 8 weks or so. Kind of confused but I welcome the ultrasound

Anybody else going for an ultrasound already?

Yep, my first US is tomorrow at 5 weeks. I'm really excited!

Yep, my first ultrasound is tomorrow at 3:45 est. Based on my numbers though they said it may be too soon to see the heartbeat but I'm hoping... I'm thinking I'm 6+ weeks so we shall see. My ob always does a early u/s to confirm due date.

I am meeting a new midwife tomorrow and if I like her, my first appointment and ultrasound will be at 7-8 weeks. I am super excited about that. . My ultrasounds with my last 2 babies were at 8-9 weeks.

A little tentative to post on this thread because the first two posters were told they were having twins at their ultrasounds... lol!

I won't get mine till somewhere between 6-8 weeks and I'm going CRAZY. Still waiting to hear back from dr about an appt. With DD, I had one at 5 weeks, 5 days, but that was because I was on Clomid and my RE wanted to confirm only 1 baby in there and that all was well.

OP, I am thinking your numbers were doubling really fast and maybe they suspected multiples? Or I know some doctors routinely do an ultrasound right away to date the pregnancy.

Darn! I want a ultrasound. Mine isnt until 8 weeks. . . I called yesterday to see if I could get into my GYN/OB sooner but she is off next week and the next week she is totally booked. . . .so boo!

At least you all know when your first US is... so jealous. I'm not even sure when mine will be. I go in at 9wks for the family history and at 12wks for the first "appointment".

I don't even have an appointment yet LOL. I probably won't get in until the second week of June or so since we are going out of town in a couple of weeks.

I don't even have a dr yet.....let alone an appt. its frustrating-do you know if they try to get you in sooner if your a high risk from the get go? this is what worries me about not having a dr.

I'm high-risk for miscarriage and this is an IVF pregnancy, so that's why my 1st US was so early. My RE does weekly USs until the end of the first trimester. My first US at my OB/midwife will be at 8 weeks.
