Spotting at 15-16 Weeks? Need help quick!

My sister just left me a voice mail and before I call her back I thought I would post and see if I could get any advice real quick. She said she was spotting this morning. Not heavy & I think she said pink (vs. red). So should she go and get checked? She didn't mention cramps. I have never spotted during a pregnancy so this is a little out of my experience range.

Update: I talked to her and there was no pain or nausea or discomfort with it. It was just a little bit of light pink in the morning. She had an ultrasound on Sat and everything looked great. Her mil passed away this last week (very unexpectedly) and her dh is the one that has to arrange everything so she is pretty stressed out and most likely dehydrated as well. I told her is there is any other spotting or any kind of pain or discomfort or she feels sick to get it checked out. Thank you all so much for responding. This is her second pregnancy (she has a 5 yr old) but there is a little gap between the kids so she doesn't remember a lot of what to worry about and what not to. Thanks again!

I would get checked, better to be on the safe side. I had spotting at 13wks with no cramps and that was the start of my first mc, so I would definetly go get checked. Hopefully its nothing, but you never know.

Definitely go to the doctor no matter what it might be. On the flipside of the PP I had spotting around the same time, pinkish/brownish with once a little red and it turned out to be old blood. Didn't miscarriage and I'm anxiously awaiting the birth of my little man!

I would definitely get it checked out, just to be safe.

I've had bleeding this entire pregnancy - it was heavier than spotting, but not really heavy, and it was pinkish-red. Apparently mine was caused by a partial placenta previa, and my baby is/was completely fine. As of last week, my placenta moved and I haven't had any more bleeding at all.
