Boogers :) brown ones?

Ok, sorry, but I have to ask this because it's driving me crazy -

DS is 10months and has had brown boogies for the last couple months maybe....not mucousy running or anything, but actual harder (like more adult-like) brownish colored ones we have to get out of his nose because we hear or see them up there. Why are they brown? Any experience with this?

Thanks!

Dirt or blood would be my guess.

Dirt, and boogers do dry brown. To keep them "flowing" and easier to get out, you might want to put a humidifier back in his room. Air conditioning will dry the nose up real fast.

I'm w/Erica - dirt or blood. I wouldn't be alarmed, personally.

Thanks. DH thinks it's all the pollen/dirt from all the wind we've been having. They're super dry. And we've been running the fan in our room for a few weeks now that I'm thinking about it. Hmm. Ok. Going to get out the humidifier.

My daughter has had brown boogers this week, and also lots of dirt inside her ears! She gets a little crazy at the playground, lol
