Just understand. If you take her in and explain what happened the way you did here, a doc or nurse may feel it is their duty to report to CPS. It is only your word saying this is how this bruise (or worse, broken bone happened) so some of the more zealous required reporters will make a request for an investigation especially if they see too much of this kind of thing.

Not trying to discourage you. Just saying that it is possible.
I realize that all to well..I am a social worker myself. My ex was worried someone would get all in our business about it and call CPS. Me..I wasn't worried. I guess cause I know how it works and know that we would be cleared quickly and no harm done. Just someone doing what they felt needed to be done. I would hope my ped would know me well enough by now that he wouldn't jump to that conclusion but ya never know.

I may just wait until the next needed ped visit and ask then. Seems we are always in and out of that place anyway.

Here was DS

That was about two weeks after it happened. All he did was trip and catch the corner of an ottoman just perfectly on his cheek bone.

It was probably just the right impact that it actually bruised the bone. If so, that will take months to stop hurting.

I just remembered too that my boyfriend in HS broke his orbital bone in a car crash and he had a cut there too, but it was painful and bruised for months. They didn't do anything for his either.

If you can go to the doc I would. I'm a worrier too and I always use the "it's better to be safe than sorry" outlook
