I have a Sonoline B 3mhz and I heard it around 10 weeks. For reference, I was about 175 at that point.

There are 2 frequencies. 2 mgh and 3 mgh, one is meant for larger mamas.
Look at the faqs on the hibebe website. I know it answers it there.

Re: If you own a fetal doppler....

I have this one http://store.heartones.com/badomore.html. I've always found the HB by 10 weeks, with #3 it was 9 weeks at the latest. I'm not small either and really had no problem. If you try that early, it will be very, very low. I had good luck with placing it at my pubic bone and aiming it down, as if trying to get under the bone. It's often off to one side too.

Re: If you own a fetal doppler....

I have this one...

http://www.edanusa.com/Product/SonoT...t-Monitor.html

Bought off Spots for this pregnancy and I am so glad I did!! I have really been comforted by it a few times. I think I was about 16 weeks when I got it so I dont know how early it would work. I would assume about 11 weeks? Thats when I usually hear over the belly at the dr.
